No. The Flox CLI is free and works without an account for most day-to-day work.

  • flox activate — enter an existing environment

  • flox search and flox show — browse the catalog

  • flox services — start and manage services

  • flox build and flox containerize — build artifacts from an environment

What needs a free FloxHub account

  • flox install, flox upgrade, flox edit — anything that curates a package from the catalog

  • Publishing environments to FloxHub for sharing

What needs a paid plan
